Pickling is a pre-passivation process of treating stainless steel and exotic metal parts with an acid solution, typically hydrochloric or sulfuric acid, which can remove oxide scale and heat tint while dissolving steel flecks embedded in the part.
Xiom use an environmentally friendly method of pickling in accordance with ASTM A380 standards.
The passivation process is a method of improving the corrosion resistance of stainless-steel and exotic metal parts by removing ferrous contaminants like free iron from their surface, restoring them to their original corrosion specifications.
A full report is issued upon completion which includes before and after pictures.
