Off the shelf high quality new hydraulic oil is at best flltered to cleanliness standard NAS 1638 Class 12 or ISO 4406 23/21/18, and although to the naked eye the oil looks very clean, the oil is loaded with suspended particles which cause increased wear and premature failure of components.

In hydraulic fluid power systems, power is transmitted and controlled through a liquid under pressure within an enclosed circuit. The liquid is both a lubricant and a power transmitting medium.

The presence of solid contaminant particles in the liquid interferes with the ability of the hydraulic fluid to lubricate and causes wear to the components. The extent of contamination in the fluid has a direct bearing on the performance and reliability of the system and it is necessary to control solid contaminant particles to levels that are considered appropriate for the system.

It is possible to extend the lifecycle of hydraulic systems and components considerably by using Xioms highly filtered hydraulic oils, we recommend complete oil changes and topping up with with the same.

Xiom can also supply and install monitoring systems to ensure cleanliness and moisture are always at at acceptable levels.

Xiom can supply our filtered oils in bulk, barrels or containers and if required we can pump out, flush and replace oil as a sealed system therefore ensuring cleanliness is guaranteed.
